Good Service has no sign-up and never asks for your name, email or phone number. It handles only the minimum information needed to run and improve the service.
1. Visit statistics (Google Analytics 4)
- What is collected: pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location (country, city), referral source
- Consent: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are not used until you consent. Elsewhere they are on by default. Advertising signals are not used anywhere.
- Retention: 14 months
2. Performance and error records (collected by us)
- What is collected: page path, load time, error details, referral source, browser type, and an anonymous visit number that disappears when you close the tab
- These records also contain technical information your browser sends (including your IP address). We do not use it to identify you or combine it with other information.
- Retention: kept for as long as needed to operate the service.
3. Favourites, trip history and notifications
- On your first visit we place an anonymous identifier cookie (
gs_uid, one year) in your browser. It does not identify a person; it is a number that lets the server find the favourite routes, trip history and notification subscription belonging to the same browser. - Deletion: favourite routes can be deleted one by one on the Favourites screen, and trips on the History screen. Notifications can be turned off in Settings. There is no delete-everything option yet.
4. Stored only on your device
Theme, analytics consent state and some display settings are stored only in your browser and never sent to our server. Clearing the site data in your browser removes them.
5. Sharing with third parties
Nothing is shared with anyone other than Google as described in section 1.
